The other day I had to give a co-worker the 'don't go in there' as she approached the bathroom.
Which is embarrassing, but at least there was a direct admission of guilt, which could at least inspire some sense of respect, right?
I mean, would it be better to not say anything, and then have her walk out thinking 'WHAT did she EAT?' And then just have that go unspoken between us forever?
Which approach would you choose?
And is it different for guys? Is it more like something to brag about?
And on a slightly unrelated note:
Even though you know you locked it, is there anything that makes you jump as high as someone jiggling the door knob while you're in there?
It takes a big person to make that up-front admission to save their fellow man. Good for you. ;)
ReplyDeleteMen appreciate the heads-up, too.
And this is why I keep a can of scented spray in the bathroom at all times. I wish the workplace did the same. I think some of my co-workers need a colonic.
I used to work (in close quarters!!) with someone who drank far too much coffee and ate far too much fast food for lunch. I would have appreciated a "nose up" ... or at least an open window.
ReplyDeleteIn the end (har), everybody poops... so what are we all so freaked out about anyway?
I never poop! But seriously, I'm all for the heads-up, and no, nothing makes me jump higher than feeling like I'm going to get busted in on at any moment!!
